  • Broad Ave Elementary prohibits withholding recess as punishment.
  • Broad Ave Elementary prohibits using physical activity and withholding Physical Education class as punishment.
  • Broad Ave Elementary prohibits giving students food as a reward and withholding food as a punishment.
  • All food and beverages served and offered during the school day and extended school day meets USDA’S Smart Snacks in School nutrition standards. This includes snacks for birthday parties, holiday parties, and school-wide celebrations.

Healthy Newsletter

Broad Avenue prohibits giving students food as a reward and withholding food as a punishment. Broad Avenue also includes prohibiting the use of unhealthy food as a reward and any vouchers, tickets, or gift cards to be used for food at food service establishments.
